Our new green space has been in place for a couple of months and is being admired and used by local residents. This 'parkette' was funded and installed by Collecdev-Markee, the developer of 40-44 Broadway Ave. and the proposed St. Monica's Church. The green space is a contribution to the community and was made as part of the negotiations that the RRA held with the developer.
In addition to this green space, the RRA negotiated a further set-back for the church, additional green space around the church and a publicly accessible dog-relief area. The timing for the construction of the church, and the accompanying condo just behind it, is yet to be determined. In the meantime, we are happy to have this new addition to our neighbourhood.
